We believe that in addition to being a good corporate citizen, having a well-thought-out and executed CSR programme is necessary to drive inclusive growth. Our CSR efforts go beyond compliance requirements by engaging in activities that ensure social and environmental good in the communities reside near us. In so doing, we guarantee that the resources available at our disposal are put to use in the most efficient way possible.
EDUCATION

Quality education is the birthright of every child. Studies in India show that although there has been a marked improvement in education standards especially in rural areas, there are still countless children living in remote areas who don’t have access to basic education. Lack of proper infrastructure like adequate classrooms, teaching equipment, and even basic facilities like clean water and toilet facilities in schools is another key reason
Details of activities Promoting education for students from impoverished families on around-the-year basis. Every year, the Company selects 30 eleventh standard students (including 33% female candidates) and provides them with a monthly scholarship of Rs.500 for five years on the basis of a written examination conducted by every August. Healthcare is the maintenance and improvement of health via diagnosis, treatment, prevention of disease, injury and other mental or physical impairments.Giving the underprivileged population access to preventative and protective healthcare increases overall productivity, improves access to opportunities and facilitates demographic and socioeconomic transition.

NUTRITION AND WELL-BEING
“लोका: समस्ता: सुखिनो भवन्तु - Let the entire world be happy !”A CSR Initiate by UAL Industries - Unit UAL BENGAL, Tungadhowa, Pashim Midnapore on 28th February, 2022.
We always strive to give it back to the society and as a part of our CSR Initiative, Ration Bags were distributed to the poor and destitute community in the nearby villages of Paschim Midnapore (Banksole, Hatigeria, Naikansole, Bhalkisole). This initiative has brought some smile on the faces of 281 families.

Health Hygiene Sanitation
UAL Industries LTD believes that every citizen of India matters. It provides us with an opportunity to partner in building a healthier tomorrow. Our “Healthcare for all” program continues to provide quality health care to the poor and needy villagers by providing them with free medical checkup along with free medicine supplies. We have provided 30 days of ration to 2 orphanages at Dhenkanal, Orissa. We also support Kalptaru Chhatra Vass & Mamta Sishu Gruha orphanages for 15 days of food to orphans.
There are over 1500 villagers who have been benefited with our eye check up camp. UAL healthcare program has provided them free spectacles; more than 100 Cataract Operations have been carried out successfully at Sankar Netralaya, Kolkata. Free emergency Ambulance service to over 18 villages is maintained, which benefits more than 2000 households, saving lives!
Toilet & Urinal Block at Ramkrishna Bazar
Manikpara Ramkrishna Bazar is situated 12 KM away from UAL-Bengal, near Sardiha railway station under Jhargram Dist. It is a Gramin Bazar famous for Vegetable, Cloth and essential commodity. Almost 1200 public gather every day. Based on the request of Market committee, UAL – BENGAL has constructed a Toilet & Urinal at market place for use of general public to maintain health & hygiene and create a safe and clean environment under Swachh Bharat mission. The project has been inaugurated by Chairman Managing Director Mr. Arun Saraf on dated 22th December 2019.
Free Eye Screening Camp
A free Eye screening camp has been organized by the UAL
BENGAL in coordination with Shankar Netralaya, Kolkata
in December 2019.
650 needy villagers from different block such as Sankril,
Jhargram & Khargapur local block etc. has been
participated in this camp. Among them 124 nos. patients
have been detected for Cataract operation and 439
spectacles have been disbursed and medicine had been
donated to all the needy patients. Main purpose of the camp
is to detect eye related disease under promoting and
preventive health care.2019.
Construction of School Building
A School Building has been constructed in the name of UAL Bengal Saraswati Shishu Mandir at Birjharia, Kharbandhi, Jhargram. Birjharia is a very backward place with regard to education, thus local persons approached us school for a school building. Around 500 needy students will be benefitted from the school annually. The School Building has been inaugurated by Sri Arun Kumar Saraf Chairman & Managing Director UAL – Industries Ltd. in December 2019.
The Model Houses
After devastation in Odisha’s coastal area particularly in Puri District due to cyclone Fani, UAL-Odisha thought it’s prudent to respond to the call of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha towards rehabilitation of the Fani affected people. Under the guidance of Special Relief Commissioner, Odisha and Collector & District Magistrate, Puri, UAL-Odisha came forward and constructed 12 Model Houses for the Fani affected people of Baliguali village in Sadar Block of Puri district.
The model houses are designed by UAL Industries Ltd., having one room, Varandah, Kitchen, Toilet with water tank measuring area of 225 Sq.Ft. The Model houses are provided with Micro Solar Dome for illumination of the houses during night and sun rays directly reflects inside the houses through transparent dome glass in the day time. Fibre cement roofing double clotted sheets integrated with Micro Solar Dome (MSD) and Solar Panel is a unique product. The basic need like mobile charging facility has also been provided through MSD in the house.
On 20th Feb, 2020, all the 12 model houses were handed over to the beneficiaries by the Project Director, DRDA, Puri, Block Development Officer, Puri Sadar Block, Tahsildar, Puri in august presence of Sri Janardan Patajoshi Mohapatra the Chief Priest of Lord Jagannath Temple and Sri Arun Kumar Saraf, Chairman & Managing Director, UAL Industries Ltd.,
