Established in 1974, UAL Industries Limited has always believed that with power and prosperity, comes greater responsibility.
UAL is India’s leading construction material manufacturing company, meeting and fulfilling rural India’s demand for quality and affordable roofing solutions over the last three decades.
UAL manufactures Fibre cement corrugated roofing sheets, plain sheets and moulded accessories under the brand name KONARK, which is its core manufacturing activity. Importantly, we also make environment friendly green building products for urban construction projects under the brand name KON_CRETE. The UAL Group has also forayed into the manufacture of A.C. Pressure Pipes and Couplings which are manufactured using the highly efficient Magnani process.

GEOGRAPHIC PRESENCE
UAL has focused on capitalising on the growing opportunities in Eastern India, marked by relatively low incomes on one hand and a need to enhance lifestyles on the other. We believe that the under-penetration in rural incomes is critical for the increased sale of fibre cement roofing sheets (often considered to be a poor man’s roofing product). We also believe that the growing urban aspirations will boost the sale of FLYASH BLOCK (AAC PROCESS)s as they enhance structural integrity without increasing construction tenures or life-cycle costs.
RESEARCH EXCELLENCE
UAL is committed to an ongoing examination of how Indians live (rural and urban) along with their product and convenience gaps. This examination provided the Company with attractive leads on what direction to pursue in terms of new product research. This translated into the Company emerging as among the first in India to offer FLYASH BLOCK (AAC PROCESS)s and (in all likelihood) emerge as the first one to launch FLYASH REINFORCED BLOCK (AAC PROCESS). The Company intends to leverage its research spending and accelerate the introduction of products that enhance residential lifestyles (rural and urban).
PIONEERING IDENTITY
UAL is seen as a pioneer in the markets of its presence. It was the first to commission plants in specific locations (followed by competitors) and among the first to introduce FLYASH BLOCK (AAC PROCESS)s and panels. This has strengthened its recall among trade partners as a Company that takes consumer interests ahead by thinking ahead.
ECO-FRIENDLY APPROACH
UAL has invested in environment-friendly manufacturing processes on the one hand and renewable energy generation capacities on the other. The Company’s eco-friendliness was acknowledged by trade organisations: the Odisha and West Bengal units were awarded a Pollution Control Excellence award in FY2017-18.

DirectorShe holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Jadavpur University and has done her MBA in Finance from SCMHRD. She is actively involved in day to day operation of the Company and executes projects of the Company..

Sandip Kumar Kejriwal
Independent DirectorMr. Sandip Kumar Kejriwal, a Central Council Member of ICSI, brings over 25 years of experience as a Practicing Company Secretary. He specializes in Company Law, NCLT matters, and Finance, and is also a qualified Insolvency Professional with seven years of expertise. A former Chairman of EIRC-ICSI (2016), he currently serves on key ICSI committees and is an empaneled Mediator with the Calcutta High Court Mediation Committee.
Bhabani Prasad Mohanty
Independent DirectorMr. Bhabani Prasad Mohanty is a distinguished advocate and tax practitioner with over 39 years of experience. Practicing since 1985, he appears regularly before the Orissa High Court, Supreme Court, and other forums across India. His expertise spans taxation, civil, criminal, constitutional, and corporate law, with over 100 reported judgments to his credit. He has also served as Amicus Curiae in several significant cases, earning respect as a trusted legal advisor.

Dhenkanal Unit, The mother factory was set up in this year.

As an expansion measure, Utkal Asbestos Ltd. set up its second unit at the village of Tungadhowa near Guptamani.

UAL UP
The Company set up its third works as UAL-UP at Baramanpur village in the Jaunpur district of Uttar Pradesh. -
Bagnan Unit was Set up in technical collaboration with HESS, Netherlands to manufacture FLYASH BLOCK (AAC PROCESS) product.

As a logical extension of FLYASH BLOCK (AAC PROCESS)s, FLYASH REINFORCED BLOCK (AAC PROCESS) were introduced in the market.
